ROTATOR In the rotator section, the RF bunch-spacing between the reference particles  is shifted away from the integer,  by an increment, and phased so that the high- energy reference particle is stationary and the low-energy one is uniformly accelerated to arrive at the same energy as the first reference particle at the end of the rotator.
